They removed the dressing from the incision and it looks pretty good, about 15" inches but it's not very red. I think that that's good.
He continues to be weary and in some pain but they are managing that much better. He hasn't been up walking yet but he will some time today. He says that he feels like he's been hit by a 2x4. Does anyone know how that feels?
Well, it's Sat. and so I'm hoping that a good football game will distract him a little but not tax his heart.
Take care, everyone. Thanks again for everything! laurie

Bob & Laurie,
Sounds like things are on schedule and about as good as can be expected. I have checked the blog each day and there seem to be many family and friends in your corner (I am also and I am the guy in the Marquette jacket). I hope that things continue on the current trend. Let me know if you tire of the food and I can send some real Chicago food Fedex from Portillo's, Malnati's, etc.
All the best, Rube Goldberg

Hi,
I am glad that things are going along so well. Laurie, give a kiss to Uncle Bob from all of us.
Bob, we were discussing your progress over dinner at Mom's. Brian was in town (he is doing great) and Judy, Maggie, Cesar, Betsy and I were there. Well, you are not the only one who has been hit by a 2X4. It appears Cesar has too (at work)! He hopes you get well soon.
We look forward to the updates and wonder what the title of the next update will be?
Love,
Lucy & Joe
